Welcome to Helen Sandler’s website

Hi, I’m Helen Sandler. I’m a writer, performer and event organiser. 

In my new comedy persona of Aitch, I’m currently performing ‘Tales of the Village’ for LGBTQ+ audiences around the UK. Contact me for links to videos and more info. 

I co-programme and compere Aberration – an LGBTQ+ arts night in Aberystwyth. I am also an actor with Queer Tales from Wales – bringing to life some surprising characters from Welsh history, researched by my partner Jane Hoy. In the past I have run other community arts projects and events, from festivals to creative writing workshops. 

I write poetry, short stories and novels, as well as freelance journalism and copywriting. In the past I have set up websites for other artists, too. 

I publish new books by women under the Tollington Press imprint (not currently accepting submissions).
